The NRA just got a rude awakening on 2-month anniversary of Parkland shooting (WATCH)

- April 14, 2018

On the two-month anniversary of the watershed mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in which 17 people were killed and which has reignited the national conversation over common sense gun reforms, the NRA got a decidedly unpleasant surprise.

A massive wave of protestors gathered outside of the National Rifle Association’s Fairfax, Virginia headquarters, signaling that the wave of disdain for America’s most powerful gun lobby is only intensifying.

Protestors in attendance across a range of states – from Florida to Connecticut – can be heard chanting, “hey hey, ho ho, the NRA has got to go,” while others held signs severely critical of the organization.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

There were some notable figures in attendance, including Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School survivor Aalaya Eastmond; a student from Newtown, Connecticut, where the Sandy Hook Elementary School is located; as well as students from local Maryland and Virginia high schools.

While the NRA continues to advocate for arming more people with guns – a stance that bears a strikingly pro-gun sales undertone – Americans have finally grown tired of the lobby’s stranglehold on the Republican Party. Whereas its A-rating was once highly coveted, the grade is a glaring black mark as we inch ever closer to the midterm elections.
