The #MeToo movement of women coming forward en masse to name their abusers, share their stories, and expose the society-wide epidemic of sexual harassment and assault is an incredible show of courage and determination that will change American history – which makes the right-wing’s efforts to hijack the revolutionary energy and take advantage of it for political gain all the more despicable.
The office of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) filed a police report last night about a fraudulent “court filing” document that purported to show that Schumer had paid off a staffer to silence a sexual harassment claim.
Schumer’s office says that the document is forged and the accusations entirely false.
It is unknown who is behind the documents, but all tracks point to far-right men’s rights activist and InfoWars associate Mike “Gorilla Mindset” Cernovich and fake news producer Charles “Chuck” Johnson.
On November 20th, Infowars published a story in which Cernovich promised to reveal allegations against a “top Democrat.” Yesterday, both Cernovich and Johnson posted on social media that they had some dirt on a major U.S. Senator before hastily deleting the posts when their bait wasn’t taken.
Cernovich tweeted then quickly deleted this last night. http://pic.twitter.com/5ALkJ7Sj3H

Cernovich was one of the primary circulators of the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory, which alleged that the Clintons were running a secret underground child sex ring in the basement of a Washington D.C. pizza shop.
Of course, that’s not even the worst part. Cernovich is a notorious rape apologist and virulent misogynist, who has advocated for the slut-shaming of black women to prevent them from getting AIDS.
Chuck Johnson, on the other hand, is known as the “web’s worst journalist” and runs the far-right media site GotNews.com. He is known for revealing the personal information of New York Times reporters and was banned from Twitter after calling for the murder of civil rights activist DeRay McKesson.
Both of them were major online members of the MAGA train who now are desperately attempting to maintain relevancy, bottom-feeders who were so inept that they were unable to carve out a post-election niche for themselves in a right-wing media community rife with shameless grifters and scheming ideologues.
But they’ve gone too far this time. There is a special place in hell for people who make false sexual harassment allegations, and at this point, Cernovich has the inferno suite awaiting him.
