The Dutch Just Responded To Trump’s Anti-Muslim Post, Made Him Look Foolish

- November 29, 2017

This morning, while blatantly pandering to his dwindling base, Trump retweeted a video from Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of the far-right anti-Islam political party Britain First, allegedly depicting a Muslim migrant beating up a Dutch boy on crutches.

Despite Trump’s tacit endorsement, the Dutch have duly debunked the video as a fake. Per the Telegraaf, the attacker was not a “Muslim migrant,” as purported, but rather was born and raised in the Netherlands. The news report identified him as a 16-year-old boy from Monnickendam.

Dumpert.nl, a popular video portal in the Netherlands, posted an update to their site this morning mocking Trump’s gullibility.

“By the way, fake news! Perpetrator was not a Muslim and not an immigrant, but nice try Trumpie”

Per Snopes, “The official Twitter account of the Public Prosecution Service of North Netherlands also disputed the claim that the attacker in this video was a Muslim migrant. In a message posted on 29 November 2017, they explained that the video showed a May 2017 quarrel between two minors. The attacker, who was born in the Netherlands, was placed in the HALT Program, an alternative settlement for young first time offenders.”

While the President continues to fear monger by endorsing debunked hate speech perpetuated by a woman who was found guilty of religiously aggravated harassment against a Muslim just last year, the rest of the world got yet another glimpse into his idiocy.

Perhaps now would be a good time to follow the wisdom of Hillary Clinton:
